Hi. We have just got married and my wife wants to preserve her flowers. Any ideas as shops are to expensive.?

hold upside down in a bowl and fill the bowl gently with clean, dry sand. the sand pours in and around the flowers and allows for a very slow drying process. cover the cut ends in the sand too. remove after 4 weeks.

Hang them upside down in a sunny place. The sun will dry them out and they will stay preserved for years! They will fade, of course, over time, but this is the easiest (and cheapest) way.
Reply:get a jar big enough to completely hold the flower/s, place them inside, stems down, pour in silica gel crystals (used as a dessicant) making sure it builds up around the petals to suppoert not crush. In a week or so your flowers should be dry and in original shape. Depending on the size of the flowers and whether you want to preserve them as a bouquet or individual will affect what you need. Try a florist or pharmacist for the gel.
Reply:go to your local craft store. they sell a product called silica just for this purpose. it is a dry granule, and the directions should be on the side. keep in mind the flowers will not look just as they did when they were fresh. good luck!
Reply:Take a picture.
Reply:Disperse thin layer of hair spray on flowers and hang them upside down in dry ethereally shade place. Wait few days. Be careful for dust once flowers are dried.
Reply:Press them and let them dry flat, or spray them with a flower preserver and put them in a shadow box.
