Last year i opened my flower shop .i need some ideas for marketing and advice for my business.?

If you know any college-aged students or college faculty, offer an opportunity for an internship. Many marketing internships do offer a small salary, while Public Relations internships are rarely paid. Many interns are juniors or seniors, and especially in PR/Advertising, need experience. They already know how to write press kits, or make a company more noticeable to the public. A small business such as yours could be an ideal place to get broad experience.

Good Luck, with your marketing strategy. Local networking will help you to build a presence within the community. The Chamber of Commerce for example, community mixers, etc. At your local school perhaps you could donate some gift certificants or gift baskets as a fundraiser and then they become both a visibility and a tax deduction.

Finally check out http://MerchantCircle.com. I have found them for my Helping Friends Career Network.. Great for establishing a local presence!! You can create a nice "intro web page", Online Coupons, a newsletter, and blog.. all free and they have advanced services to do more for you! Great service.
Reply:I saw something on the news not that long ago where people gave out 1 dz roses with the thought of making some one happy.

The individual roses were to be handed out to strangers on the street by the strangers who carried them. From what I recall each rose had a short message and the name of the florist to help drum up business. Hope this gives you some ideas. Good luck!
Reply:I would offer a reminder service

For a fee I would send flowers or a plant on wifes b/d,anniv,valentine. They get a call from you 2 days prior to occasion and you automatically send flowers. Dont forget boss's secretaries
Reply:Networking has always been my favorite marketing technique not to mention usually the cheapest. Look for events in your local community. Design flower arrangements or take sample flowers and leave them with cards or flyers. Try donating floral arrangements to churches but make sure you have a card attached and leave some cards. Take a look at this article on marketing on a budget http://www.home-business-expo.com/972006...

Do you have a website? A website with lots of pictures of your work and descriptions of what you offer will entice people to call. Make sure your number and address is very accessible on the site. Eventually or if you have the funds to now I recommend offering a service on the website where people can order online and have flowers delivered. This might be a bit costly at first but eventually will pay for itself.
Reply:Join lots of community organizations, keep passing out your card.
