Further to our Qs last year about tommys can we grow shallots and onion sets in the same we know it wont feed?
Yes, you can grow tomatoes in pots. It would be best if you would use a large pot.
Here is something you might be interested in...buy a bag of vegetable potting soil. Cut the top and fold down, plant your tomato in the bag. Be sure to punch a few holes in the bottom so that water can drain. Don't forget to water your tomato plant.
You can also do this with potatoes.
It is a lot of fun.
