Which business would work out better, flower shop or gift shop?
I own a Floral Shop that also sells gifts... DO BOTH!!!
Many times we put gift items into the flower arrangements.
Also... providing both gives your customers more choices.
Reply:With a gift shop, you could offer a lot more products such as flowers, balloons, toys, holiday items, present wrapping, etc... and then you wouldn't be so dependent on customers who only need flowers.
Then again, you could do wedding flowers as a specialty flower business and make a lot of $$$. I worked for my friend who owns a wedding floral biz and he works out of his garage so he doesn't even need to rent a shop.

Reply:well, which do you like better? i think there are lots of flower shops. if you do a gift shop, make it unique, different from the others. offer special services that others don't. you can even offer plants %26amp; flowers in it and you would have the best of both. good luck!!
Reply:it really depends on a lot of factors like location, cost of rent, etc. etc. Flowers are perishable, though. You might consider that.
