i want to know if i need a license? also i want to use only fake flowers for arrangements and maybe start doing some gift baskets. If i do make gift baskets and put like beer in a super bowl basket do i need to have a liquior lisence.

Well, where I live, is an unincorporated part of the city and I do not need a business license, if I where in the main stream of things living in a different district (corporate part of town) I would need a license. Also I am restricted some what because I live in a deed restricted community which means I can not post signs outside my home about my business and only have signs on my car for a period no longer than 4 hours according to neighborhood rules. If you sell booze, beer or any other alcoholic beverage, you will need a license, unless you are out sourcing with someone who already has a license. Even though you may not need a license, you may need to register your business for tax purposes.

Good place to start would be to talk to your local Chamber of Commerce. If there is none, try your city alderman or the mayor's office.
Reply:you dont' need a license to open a flower shop. Just get a DBA from the local court house and fill it out. As for doing the beer thing... you need a liquor license because obviously the beer. But other than that you don't need a license.
